Bear Valley Mountain Resort is a good choice for people looking for a local, convenient ski/board area without expecting the best of ticket price value, terrain run diversity or the nicest lodge and food choices that other resorts offer. The Lifts are mostly antiquated, the runs are shorter than most resorts, and on busy days, BV doesn't handle big crowds. Usually this is not a problem as BV usually doesn't get crowded except on Holidays with available snow.
