From a skiers perspective Kicking Horse has fabulous dry deep powder when the snow comes. And, although the terrain is no huge, there are definitely some great and steep pitches off the upper ridge that are excellent and soo fun with deep snow. Drawback? It seems there is one main power line that feeds the gondola which accesses the upper terrain. When the power goes (and it has on two trips I've done to KH) the gondola grinds down and by the time it's up again the lines are painful. Also the day lodge is not all that great for lunch packers and the more casual crowd. Still, if the lifts are running and it's snowing its a great hill.
