Some of the Best Terrain, PERIOD. While Justin complains about the place (I too am from Spokane) my experiences there were different. While I've ridden the new granite mt chair, I've also ridden the old chair up Granite Mt. 45 minutes to get through the line and up the Mt, 15 minutes to get down, and you got high enough off the ground during the chair ride that my skydiving/ski buddy and I thought we could static-line off the chair and get parachute opening before getting to the trees below. The lift service is much better today. The tree skiing is incredible. We didn't care about getting ski apres amenities, or a hamberger, nor did we treat the staff like they owed us something. We came for the terrain and the snow and both were outstanding. Could be be the most unrecognized gem for skiing in Western Canada

I agree Marin, I have skied at Red for 10 years and not only is the snow great (it's coming down heavily as I'm typing this) I have only skied a fraction of the mountain as there is so much terrain.
The deck burger is legendary and the Paradise staff are very friendly. One staff loaned me their glove when I dropped mime off the lift. Longest I've had to wait for the lift this year was under 30 seconds and I too need a break on the way up for some chairlift chat. Lift tickets are some of the most affordable around if you compare. Red is and will always be my fav!

I've gone to Red every year for over 8 years now, and every time, the staff has been awesome. Every time I've needed help with something, they've given me service with a smile. People go to Red for the vibe, the snow, and even the food. There's nothing like a deck burger and a beer at Paradise Lodge after skiing powder all morning.
The lifts may be slower, but it's exactly what I need to help catch a breath so I can ski the hell out of the next run! Another added benefit: The mountain gets tracked out a lot less faster. In my humble opinion, Red is really the best place in North America to ski at. Great people, great town, great snow, great terrain.
