Manning Park is a wonderful resort for the whole family to enjoy. Aside from alpine skiing, the resort offers nordic skiing, snowshoeing, skating, swimming and tubing. You almost never will find long lines at Manning Park, and the runs on the mountain are never heavily populated. One of my favorite things about this resort, is that if you go down a harder black diamond run, you are usually alone on it, which gives you a lot of time to appreciate the quite, and the fantastic nature.
Overall, the terrain is very good, but if you are really advanced, you may get bored. I find that the snow and powder is great. If I compare it to other hills I've been to, I generally like Manning Park's snow better than Apex's or Silver Star's. One run, the Apple Bowl Hike allows you to hike
up aways, and can be a great path for back country skiing, where you will find harder terrain.
Manning Park is great for beginners and intermediates, and I would strongly recommend it as a family resort for anyone in the area.
