I am a recent transplant to Arizona....When I first moved here I was terrified at the idea of where I was going to ski...I had heard horror stories of people buying season passes at this place and getting less than 5 days in all year...Being a person that skied 100 plus days a years for most of my adulthood made this even more scary....I must say that I have been totally shocked by this place..Some of the best powder and spring condition days that I have ever experienced...The tree sking on this mountain is phenonanal when conditions permit....They have it all here....Steeps...trees...Groomers....I never though that I would have some of the best ski days of my life in Arizona...Here is the problem with Snowbowl....Huge and I mean huge crowds on the weekends...Like you might get in 5 runs all day it is so crowded....Also...the chairlifts are so slow...Like it is almost a 20 minute ride to the summit...But overall this is a great place...You can get some really fine blue bird days with the Arizona sun...Also...Food and drink are so cheap for ski area prices...And don't let the trail map fool you....It is much bigger when you are there than how it looks on the trail map....Was there just last Sunday on their last day ( a shame considering how much snow is still there) and it was a blast..
