Remains some of the best natural snow to be had and unbelievable easy access to fabulous sidecountry. Very friendly and the only mountain in Banff National Park that has a hotel (renovated) right on the hill (still must take the gondola up). This is a great mountain - Goats Eye (midstation drop from the Gondola) accesses fabulous cordouroy cruisers and advanced terrain. On a big now year (like 2011) terrain opens up to skiers left off the top of the chair that is fantastic. Many go to Sunshine hoping to drop into Delirium Dive (Beacon and Shovel are required) but not that there are many days it is not open. The views at Sunshine on a clear day are brethtaking - you can see Mount Assiniboine from the top of the Divide Chair. And the side country has fantastic terrain if you are prepared to work to get it. GPS recommended or stick to a sunny day as it is easy to get disoriented in a snow storm out there.
