Norquay is a steep challenging (one side) yet family friendly (the newer terrain) mountain practically attached to Banff townsite. It has an unbelievable long, steep, classic mogul run (the North American) with a great view - if you are competent enough to swallow your angst and look around as you descend. For those whose knees can still cope with a giant bump run, when the conditions are right this is the run for you. Norquay also sells (or did sell) passes for hours vs. day and half day and they have night skiing making it a fun hill for local families and travellers alike.
