With 27 trails covering 90 skiable acres and a vertical drop of 603 feet, Winterplace is a great place for families and individuals learning to ski.

Snowboarders are welcome and they'll enjoy the snowboard park and new half-pipe dedicated just for boarders. The park has its own lift and is contoured with all the tabletops, hips, rails, gaps and cool stuff that diehards love.

Winterplace has the highest snowmaking capacity per acre in the Southeast, plus snowmaking capability on nearly every trail. When the sun goes down, the slopes light every night.

Winterplace is a member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America and uses the American Ski Teaching System.

It also offers the nationally-accredited SKIwee program to youngsters ages 4 to 11. NASTAR Racing is also offered.

Services include a rental shop, Ski & Sport Shop, children's day camp, restaurant and cafeteria, and the Snowdrift Lounge.

Winterplace Ski Resort is located in southern West Virginia and is conveniently located one mile off of I-77.
