With 85 acres boasting 30 trails, Whaleback has something for everyone. Beginners can enjoy a smooth ride up the magic carpet, while the more adventurous can hit up the terrain park with plenty of kickers, boxes, and jibs to excite even the most jaded dare devil. Whether you're taking the Summit Chair up 1,800 feet to the summit to show off your skills on Upper Face or maybe just a cruiser down Ivory Run, there's something for every ability level. And with 39% blue trails, it's also a great place to work on your skills while having fun with your friends and family.

Whaleback Mountain LLC was created in 2005 by Evan Dybvig 2 – time Olympic mogul skier, Frank Sparrow, Myles Cotter-Sparrow, Dylan Goodspeed of Zero Gravity Skate Park, and Richard Dybvig- Architect.

The mission of this group is to create a year round action sports facility. In the winter, Whaleback is a ski and snowboard resort, with classic New England skiing and riding mixed with action sports features. In the summer, Whaleback hosts a wide variety of sports and camps for paintball, inline skating, skateboarding, pit bikes, BMX, mountain bikes and a skate park in Hartford, VT.
