Blackjack Ski Resort is nestled in the beautiful Black River Valley in the Lake Superior snowbelt of Michigan's western Upper Peninsula and has become a weekend hideaway for local skiers and destination skiers. With lower lift ticket rates, it is a great place for families on a budget.

Forty percent of the runs are designated black diamond runs and several intermediate runs are quite challenging for experts.

The "rustic" base lodge has everything from a ski apparel shop, rentals, nursery, cafeteria, restaurant and bar and apres ski music on weekends.

Easy to Get There

From southern Michigan, take I-75 north to I-2 west. Turn onto Blackjack Road, 3 miles east of Bessemer.

From southern Wisconsin, take U.S. 51 to Ironwood to U.S. 2 east. Turn onto Blackjack Road, 3 miles east of Bessemer.

Blackjack is only 150 miles from central Wisconsin.
