The ROOSEVELT INN, which is included in the National Historical Register, was built in 1906 and remodeled in 1994 into a bed and breakfast. It was named after the 26th president, Theodore Roosevelt. We chose the rose as our theme throughout the building, celebrating the name Roosevelt meaning "Rosefield" in Dutch.
The beautiful red brick building with its steeple, shaded by maple trees, offers traditional elegance with modern hotel comfort and Hungarian hospitality. Two charmingly furnished parlors and dining area featuring lovely leaded glass windows and a hand painted mural welcome you on the main floor. A rose mural runs up the wall along the original school stair case.
Each of our rooms is centrally heated/air conditioned for your comfort. Most of our rooms have queen-sized beds, private bath and/or shower, some offer a view of the lake. All the rooms are charming and cozy, furnished with antiques. One room is adapted for the handicapped.
We serve full breakfasts with emphasis on wholesome nutrition. Hosts John, Lisa and Anita will do their best to make your stay enjoyable.
