Something For Everyone in the Endless Mountains...

The VACATION INN MOTEL was started in the 1960s as a haven from city life stresses where one could retreat to the countryside to relax and get away from it all. When the Centonze family built and opened up the Motel one of the comments we heard frequently was that we were the - only light in the wilderness. Of course there are a lot more lights now than 43 years ago, but the area is still real country with wild animals and working farms all over. One still has to drive 25 or 30 minutes to get to anything resembling a strip mall and our post office is 6 miles away.

Customers have told us they are amazed to see deer or turkeys eating on the front lawn early in the morning - at least those customers that get up early enough to see them.

Located at the top of the ENDLESS MOUNTAINS and the northern POCONOS, the Vacation Inn is in the unspoiled wilderness that the POCONOS used to be.

You are welcome to enjoy over 200 miles of SNOWMOBILE and CROSS COUNTRY SKI TRAILS that the Vacation Inn is in the middle of. In the summer you will find superb HIKING, BIRD WATCHING and RELAXATION on these same trails. Furthermore, there is good HUNTING with 30,000 acres of PA Game Lands in a 30 minutes drive. And FISHING nearby with 30+ lakes & streams with some of the best icefishing in the state come December.

Easily accessible to both the interstates and city life when needed, the Motel is nestled in a part of the state that is still ruggedly rural and beautiful most of the year, especially when the foliage comes into full force on Columbus Day weekend.

There are two sizes to the Motel rooms. Our Family rooms have a Queen and two Twins with a fold up Twin bed for an extra person when needed. There are also the Regular rooms with a Queen Bed that also have a fold up Twin bed for another person. All the beds are either brand new or within the last year or so. Cable TV is currently in all rooms. All the HBO and Premium movie channels are included. The air conditioning is now in all the motel rooms. All the rooms have private bath and shower.



Policies

Cancellation Policies

Please understand that we have a two day notice for cancellations. This means that we would greatly appreciate it that you should call us by Thursday Noon if staying that weekend in order to cancel. If this is not possible, we will take each case on an individual basis as regards to if any penalities will be charged.

We reserve the right to wait to see if the room is rented before making a decision. If we are lucky enough to rent the room(s), then we usually will not charge the person making the cancellation(s). As far as skiing is concerned, we feel as long as ELK is open we assume skiing is OK and good.

Check In & Check Out Policies

We guarantee the room with a credit card for the 1st night and ask you to bring the card with you so we can swipe it. They take less % on processing when the card is swiped. And everyone gets a receipt that way so there is less confusion.
