The lovely Cottonwood Inn is located in a quiet, college community, where the people are friendly and a thousand artists reside. Alamosa itself feels like a Southwestern/Midwestern conglomeration. Centrally located, five ski areas are less than 90 miles away and allow for day trips: Monarch, Taos, Rio Castillo, Cuchara and Wolf Creek.

The Inn itself is a gallery with incredible regional art for sale. Most of the work is done by local artists who sometimes drop by for breakfast. The Inn is also famous for its scrumptious breakfasts that are a feast for the eyes, as well as, the soul.
