Fortunately guests at the Gideon Ridge Inn are not required to get up for sunrise in the pergola. The freshly-ground coffee we brew, however, does seem to create a certain incentive.

"Good Heaven!" someone might exclaim looking over the endless blue mountains, "Just how far can you see on a clear day, anyway?" Very far indeed, actually. But then what's under one's very nose is somewhat breathtaking in itself.

Consider a library with massive stone fireplace, a breakfast room with original art, wonderfully comfortable bedrooms with baths en suite. Broad stone terraces with wicker furniture and plump pillows. And nearby is a village with shops and parks and treasures galore.
