Solbakken Resort - a quiet, family run resort on Minnesota's north shore of Lake Superior. From cabins nestled along the shore, to fireplace suites in our main lodge and motel rooms overlooking the lake, to lake homes for larger groups. Solbakken Resort provides a base for you to explore miles of nearby hiking or ski trails.

Six cabins scattered along Lake Superior's beautiful ledge rock shoreline are a favorite lodging option. All have kitchens, decks and welcome pets. This is one of the best options to enjoy being on the water, yet hiking and skiing are close by too. Don't forget to check out our hot tub and sauna in our main log lodge.
Jonas House, a private home on our main resort property will accommodate up to 8 people comfortably with 3 bedroom, 2 baths. Includes full kitchen, dining room, living room with TV, fireplace and picture windows looking out at Lake Superior. Deck, fire ring on the rocks and charcoal grill to enhance your outdoor enjoyment.
Holt House, a private home on Lake Superior's shore about a mile from our main property will accommodate up to 10 people comfortably. 3 bedrooms, TV room with futon, 2 bathrooms, living room with sofa sleeper, fireplace and picture windows with fabulous views of Lake Superior, full kitchen, dining room with views of the cove, deck.
Stay in one of three suites in our main log lodge and cozy up to your personal fireplace or venture out to enjoy your lake facing patio. Each unit includes a kitchen, living and dining area, as well as either 1 or 2 bedrooms with a queen bed in each. This is a good choice for people who want the feel and space of a cabin, but don't want to go without a TV.
The Sawbill Lodge houses our reception, book & gift shop, spa & sauna, xc ski shop, open-beam lounge, and fireplace suites.
And when the snow is flying Solbakken Resort is four miles to Lutsen Mountain and there is cross country skiing right from the door!
