In the spring, summer and autumn the Deep Creek Lake area is ideal for boating, swimming, white-water rafting, water-skiing, hiking, biking, golfing, fishing, horseback riding or simply relaxing. This is where all the senators, presidents and other influential people used to come to escape the heat and humidity of Washington. Deer Park water is bottled a few miles from here. Autumn is a gorgeous time in the area. The leaves are starting to turn and take on their wonderful earthy hues and will peak around the second and third week of October.
