Luxurious Steamboat Mountain Lodge

In a style of a mountain lodge, Thunder Mountain Resort offers the spacious comfortable surroundings of private condominiums with the amenities of a friendly mountain inn and some of the west's finest skiing on over 2500 acres on four mountains.

Offering spacious studio and two-bedroom condominiums, this lodge is perfect for a family getaway.

Each unit has fully-equipped kitchens with dishwashers and microwaves. The highlight of our two bedroom/ two bath unit is the large whirlpool tub in the master bath, perfect for relaxing after your day's activities.

    Cancellation Policies

    Deposits are not refundable if reservation is cancelled less than 29 days prior to arrival.

    Check In & Check Out Policies

    Check in is at 4 p.m. and checkout is at 10 a.m.
    Check in service hours should be 8:00 am - 5:00 pm - those are our basic office hours - in the busier season we stay open later but like to keep it standard - We have after hours security service of duty from 5:00 pm - 8:00 am to handle late check in and emergencies

    We have stayed at Thunder Mountain twice in the winter and four times in the summer. The location near the mountain makes it convenient for skiing as well as mountain biking in the summer. The resort is a very rustic, but clean lodge. Because there are a small number of units, we have experienced a very pleasant visit each time: cooking out, sitting on the balcony in the morning and evening, and leaving our windows open at night in the summer.
    The resort was very accomodating one year when we had a special need for wheel chair accessiblty.
