By most accounts the Crested Butte Club offers the most elegant and upscale lodging experience in the entire Gunnison River Territory.

Each of the seven rooms in this refurbished national landmark is individually decorated with antiques, antique reproductions and family heirlooms.

Each room has a private bath with turn of the century tile work, his & her Georgio pedestal sinks, an oversize solid copper & brass claw foot tub with a sunflower shower head, and plush monogrammed bath robes.

Each room has an operating gas fireplace with a victorian mantelpiece which usually hides a cable TV in the second tier of the mantle. Most rooms have a queen bed; one has a king, (all are "Soma"' sleep systems.) There is a parlor area, usually furnished with a love seat & wingback, and fresh cut flowers are provided year-round. In the summer they are likely to be native wildflowers from the inkeepers' gardens.

The Health Club & Spa...

On the ground level is a complete multi-use health club with a weight gym built by the builders of the U.S. Olympic Training Center, a small indoor two lane lap pool, a climbing wall, steam baths, hot tubs and a guest lounge reminiscent of sumptuous European pubs where you can expect full cocktail service, appetizers, wicked deserts and a most healthy breakfast buffet to start the day.

Daily aerobic classes are offered in our second story Conference Room (available for meetings and receptions), and two massage rooms are staffed by four excellent masseuses who offer a variety of massage techniques, herbal wraps, salt glows and spa packages to be yours at additional cost in their room or yours. Likewise, certified personal weight trainers are available by appointment at additional cost.

Almost everyone who stays at the club discovers that dine-in/dine-out is clearly a preferable amenity to ski-in/ski-out. And when you're staying at the ski area, it's like any number of places in this world. But when you're staying at the Crested Butte Club, you're definitely staying in a magical place.
