BaseCamp is a full-service mountain lodge, restaurant and pub located in the village center of beautiful Bear Valley, California. BaseCamp is also the home of Mountain Adventure Seminars (M.A.S.), a year-round mountaineering school specializing in telemark and backcountry skiing, avalanche education, mountaineering and rock climbing.

BaseCamp offers one of the closest lodging opportunities for the Bear Valley Mountain Resort and Bear Valley Cross Country Center. Guests can easily walk to the cross-country trailhead or catch a free shuttle bus up to the downhill ski area. Discount downhill skiing lift tickets available to BaseCamp guests.

BaseCamp is a European style lodge that shares bathrooms and showers on each floor with a sauna on the 3rd floor. BaseCamp offers two types of rooms, private & bunk. Private rooms are simple and clean with good beds and down comforters. Private rooms have 1 queen, 1 queen & 1 double, or 1 queen & 2 singles.

Bunkrooms are designed so guests bring a their own sleeping bag or linens. Each bunkroom has two sets of bunkbeds and each bottom bunk unfolds into a double (approximately a queen size bed). Guests can either rent single bunk spaces or the entire room, which is very popular for groups and families.

In the evening, enjoy a meal from our extensive menu. The pub also has a fine selection of wines and brews. Whether you want to share stories with other guests or settle into our living room and library, we strive to make everyone feel at home at BaseCamp.

Our mission at BaseCamp is to make our guests' visit to Bear Valley pleasant and relaxing. We serve delicious meals, provide comfortable accommodations and create a friendly and social environment to enjoy the mountains and the company of others who share that enjoyment.
