Enjoy the convenience of staying at the ski lifts - just 200 yards from Canyon Lodge and a short drive from the town center and the many wonderful restaurants and shops that make Mammoth Lakes one of the premier resort destinations in the United States.

At The 1849 you will receive first class service from a friendly staff eager to make your vacation one to remember.

Inside each condominium you will find everything you need for an unforgettable stay: a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, a fireplace with wood provided, cable TV, VCR, stereo, and telephone. All linens and towels are provided.

In the lobby, a fresh pot of coffee is always brewing for our guest. And for your convenience, a large selection of video tapes is available for rental. Should you need after hour assistance, managers are on the premises 24 hours a day.

Other amenities at The 1849 include a conference room, laundry facilities, three spas, sauna, swimming pool, recreation room, tennis court, and courtesy van service.

Policies

Cancellation Policies

  • Advance deposit of 50% required on all reservations. Advance deposits are refunded, less a 10% cancellation fee, upon 2 weeks notice (30 days for holidays). Cancellation is automatic if deposit not received within 5 days of booking reservation.
  • Balance is due 14 days prior to arrival (30 days prior to holidays).
  • If Mammoth Mountain Ski Lifts do not operate due to lack of snow, advance deposit is refunded, less a 10% cancellation fee. (No advance cancellation required).
  • If Mammoth Mountain is open, and there is no access from Canyon Lodge, rates will be reduced to 75% of regular rates.
