Mountain Biking

Ever wondered what it would be like to ride down the Sweeney Switchbacks without having to make the climb to the top beforehand? This summer Park City Mountain Resort gives mountain bikers the chance to find out. Starting mid-June, PCMR will offer lift-served mountain biking via the Payday chairlift.

More than 30 miles of trails -- both dirt roads and single track -- traverse PCMR's 3,300 acres of terrain offering something for the novice to the hardcore athlete. These same trails connect to additional public mountain biking trails, including Deer Valley Resort's trail system, the infamous Tour Des Suds bike trail and the Wasatch Crest Trail providing even more off-road cycling opportunities.

Hours of operations for lift served mountain biking are Monday through Friday, noon to 6 p.m., and Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. All mountain bikers are required to use helmets. All Park City Mountain Resort 1998-99 Season Pass Holders will be allowed complimentary access to lift served mountain biking.
