Cool Breezes, Amazing Views, & Year-Round Fun...

During the summertime in Red River, there's even more to do -- from taking scenic chairlift rides or jeep tours of abandoned gold mines, to hiking, biking, horseback riding, camping, and hunting. There's also fishing.

Red River's namesake river is stocked with more trout than any other public river in the country. So don't wait till winter to bring your family to Red River. This location in the heart of the Carson National Forest and Wheeler Peak Wilderness Area allows easy access to Mother Nature's vast playground all year long.

  • Summer Chairlift & Nature Trail Guide
We feel the best way to enjoy the mountain is to be on top of it! Take a hike, have a mountain-top lunch, or challenge yourself to a mountain bike ride on the roads and trails of our mountain. Don't forget your camera!

  • Mountain Cycling
Spectacular views await the cyclists who challenge the roads and trails of our mountains. Please observe the practice of "minimum impact" bicycling by doing only those things which will do the least harm to the environment such as taking pictures to preserve fond memories of the day. Pedal safely and enjoy the breathtaking scenery! Helmets are mandatory for cyclists. An All-Day Bike Pass costs $15.00 or buy a one time pass and upgrade later to a all day.

  • Self-guided Nature Hikes
Learn about our local flora and fauna. Use our complimentary Nature Trail Guide to enjoy a self-guided hike on the nature trail at your own pace.

  • Mountain Dining
Mountain-top at the Ski Tip Restaurant you'll find delicious burgers, snacks, beverages, as well as adult beverages available during summer lift hours.
