Cranapalooza

Cranapalooza is Back for the 2005-2006 Season!

Be a part of the action at Cranapalooza, an evening festival from 2pm to 9pm, every Saturday from December 31, 2005 through March 11, 2006. Guests will enjoy a variety of events taking place throughout the resort, in addition to night skiing and snow tubing.

Cranapalooza Activities and Festivities

Games with our penguin mascot C-More.

Hot cocoa and s'mores around an outdoor fire pit.

Live music.

Jugglers and clowns – guests can interact with live entertainers all around Cranmore’s Schneider Square.

DarksideTerrain Park – Guests of all ages can ride the rails and boxes with a schedule of evening events planned.

Evening Ski Race Series – This recreational racing series is open to all ages.

Fireworks – Children and adults will enjoy watching fireworks in the winter sky on select dates.

Face Painting – Guests of all ages are invited to have their faces painted by local artists.

Sleigh Rides – Guests can ride in a sleigh drawn by horses to enjoy a quiet New England winter evening.

Snowcross – Guests can watch as snowmobile riders compete for prizes.

Après Ski – Parents will enjoy the after-ski life in Zip’s Pub featuring live music and promotions.


"Cranapalooza lets our guests enjoy a wide variety of winter activities combined with the magic of night time," said Ben Wilcox, general manager for Cranmore Mountain, "From night skiing, to games with our mascot C-Mor, to snacks around an outdoor fire pit, there will be entertainment for all ages. All the fun starts at 2 p.m., so whether guests are finishing up a day of skiing or just arriving to hit the slopes under the lights at night, they can be part of the festivities."

Night skiing and riding will be available from summit to base on 11 lit trails , with trails including Middle, Hurricane, North Conway, Lift Line, Lower Hurricane, Split Decision, South Slope, North Slope, Quad Shute and Competition Slope. The Darkside Terrain Park, now located at Zip’s Trail, will be also be lighted for skiers and riders.

Tickets for night riding and skiing are priced at $15 and include access to the Cranmore Family Fitness Center from 4-9 p.m. Snow tubing is available until 9 p.m. on Saturday nights and costs $17 for 5 runs or 2 hours. Most other Cranapalooza activities are free and open to the public.
