Snow Toys

Snowplay is about a lot more than just skiing and snowboarding, so along with the Grand Prix Tubing Center and Darkside Terrain Park, Cranmore offers a number of snowtoys. Snowtoys are unique and fun tools for sliding down the trails, and Cranmore is the only resort in the Mount Washington Valley with them.

Snowscoots
Half scooter, half snowboard, snowscoots are designed for jumping and carving. A twist of the handlebars and a little foot pressure and the snowscoot carves up the corduroy. Popular in Europe, snowscoots can be seen hopping all over Cranmore.

Snowblades
The terrain park-inspired snowblades allow skiers to lay deep carves and perform aerial tricks. Besides being significantly shorter than skis (thus making it easier for spinning tricks), snowblades are wider than normal and feature a twin-tip design. Snowblades have become extremely popular at ski resorts throughout the United States and are popular training tools for racers and freestylers alike.

Snowbikes
Originally used by non-skiing lift operators to get down the hill after work, snowbikes offer tremendous control and excitement. The wheels are replaced with skis, and the rider wears short skiboards for balance and control. Snowbikes are also used in Booth Creek's Snowsports Schools as a tool to accelerate the learn-to-ski process.

Snowdecks
It's skateboarding on snow. Snowdecks are basically skateboards without wheels. By elevating this skateboard deck a couple of inches above the snow, riders can use a narrow snowboard-constructed subdeck to angulate turns with their toes and heels hanging over the top deck. Riders can feel as confident as they would on a snowboard with bindings.
