Local outfitters rent snowshoes and can point you in the right direction to explore Big Sky's winter wonderland.

Flyfishing is not limited to summers in Big Sky. The area's blue-ribbon trout streams do not all freeze over in the winter so hard-core fishermen can fish year round. Local outfitters can assist you with guides and gear.

Yet another back-country adventure is the experience of driving a sled dog team of Alaskan huskies through the snow covered Montana wilderness. There are two outfitters in the area that offer both half day and full day tours.
