Montana Backcountry Adventures is a first class skiing and snowboarding operation in Big Sky, Montana. Clients ski up to 12,500 vertical feet per day on runs that range from gentle bowls to steep and deep trees. With over 3,000 acres of private land provided by Moonlight Basin Ranch™ and 400 inches of "Cold Smoke" powder provided by Mother Nature, MBA snowcat skiing/boarding trips are truly world class.

You should be an intermediate or above skier, completely comfortable skiing blue runs and able to get down blacks. Tree skiing experience is recommended, but not necessary. To ensure that you have the ultimate backcountry adventure, MBA has powder skis available for rental.

Like any backcountry adventure in an alpine environment there are inherent risks. MBA’s guides monitor snow and weather conditions continuously as well as using resources like Big Sky ski patrol and the Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center.
