You won't find a better vantage point from which to view the Sawtooth Mountains and Lake Superior's dramatic coastline. The North Shore Mountain Tram takes you to the summit of Moose Mountain, the North Shore's highest peak.

Keep your eyes open, as dozens of birds and critters of the boreal forest make their home here. Ruffed grouse, eagles, pine marten, deer, bear, timber wolves and moose have all been spotted along the ride. At the top, acres of wilderness and Lake Superior vistas sprawl before you for a view that can take in more than one hundred miles.

Take a short stroll to the observation deck or plan an extended hike along the Moose Mountain ridgeline. Hungry? The Mountaintop Deli offers light snacks or a full lunch menu, served up with an awe-inspiring view.

In the fall, when a rush of color paints the mountains and valleys in shimmering gold, orange, and red, the gentle ride at treetop level and mountaintop vistas offer the most incredible view of the North Shore fall colors. Simply spectacular.
