Nothing captures the essence of a mountain community like traveling on horseback. Homestead Stables at Lutsen Mountains offers Guided Trail Rides, lunch rides and dinner rides allowing visitors to experience the discovery of the Sawtooth Mountains as early settlers once did.

Trail Rides
One-hour ride through the Sawtooth Mountains.
Includes riding lesson.
Available daily May 15 - October 24
Scheduled: 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 2 p.m., 3:30 p.m.

Lunch Ride
A two-hour trip up the Poplar River Valley with a stop for shore lunch including fresh walleye, fried potatoes, baked beans and dessert.
Available daily May 15 - June 25 & Sept. 6 - Oct. 24
Departs: 11:30 a.m.

Dinner Ride
A three-hour trip to the summit of Eagle Mountain where we stop for a steak dinner cooked over an open fire and enjoy the sunset from the mountain summit.
Available daily June 26 - Sept. 5
Departs: 5:00 p.m.
