These are fun and exciting times at Three Rivers Whitewater. Through the purchase of another major White water rafting Competitor, Unicorn Expeditions, Three Rivers has added more great Maine Whitewater Rafting Trips, Services and Accommodations than ever. More weekend River space so you can go white water rafting in Maine on the Kennebec River, Dead River and Penobscot River when you want.

More amenities with the addition of the new 26 acre Penobscot Outpost facility that rivals The Forks Outdoor Fun Resort, It just keeps getting better and better.



Rafting Trips

Kennebec River
The 12 mile Kennebec trip begins at Harris Station on Indian Pond and flows through the Kennebec Gorge ending at The Forks, the confluence of the Dead and Kennebec Rivers. Class II-V Rapids.

Penobscot River
The first 2 miles descend from McKay Station through Ripogenus Gorge. The last 12 miles of rapids end at the take out near Pockwockamus Falls. Class III-V Rapids.

Dead River
The Dead river offers the longest stretch of continuous whitewater in the East. The 16 mile trip begins at Grand Falls and runs through Class IV and V whitewater ending at The Forks.



Kennebec Overnight Trips

Experience the exhilaration of two days of white water rafting on Maine's Kennebec River and a night of remote camping in the Maine Wilderness. It's an adventure you will not soon forget. Beginning at Moosehead Lake you will inflatable kayak or raft the East Outlet through class II & III whitewater to Indian Pond; with spectacular views of Big Squaw Mountain, and surrounding wildlife. There will also be plenty of time to catch some fish, go for a walk or just relax by the lake and listen to the soothing call of the loons. You'll arrive at your campsite where your tents are set up and a delicious campfire meal prepared by your guide awaits you.

Enjoy the beauty and natural camaraderie such a setting provides. You will awake to a hearty breakfast and proceed downstream to the mighty Kennebec Gorge for a full day of whitewater rafting through class 3 to 4+ rapids. Finish up with another scrumptious homemade meal and a slide & video presentation of your trip. This trip is sure to leave you with a renewed energy to take on the "real world".
