Snow Summit Scenic Sky Chair
Views From 8,200 ft!
During the summer months Snow Summit transforms one of its two high-speed quads, the East Mountain Express, into the Scenic Sky Chair. The Scenic Sky Chair is then used to transport bikers, hikers and sightseers on a relaxing ride through the beautiful San Bernardino National Forest from an elevation of 7,000 feet to our 8,200 foot summit. Guests are invited to sit back and enjoy the wildlife, flowers, panoramic views and clean, fresh mountain air. Once at the top you will not only find gorgeous scenery and picturesque views, but you will find Snow Summit's mountain top restaurant, the View Haus, offering the most scenic BBQ in Big Bear. Eat lunch or a snack while taking in the spectacular views of Big Bear Lake, the surrounding valley and mountains and Southern California's highest peak, Mt. San Gorgonio. Take in what nature has to offer and turn your sightseeing into a short walk around the mountain-top, then just hop back on the Scenic Sky Chair for a peaceful ride down. You are sure to enjoy the beauty of the San Bernardino National Forest.
The Scenic Sky Chair offers a mile-long ride taking 15 minutes each way. All ages are invited to take the ride, from infants to seniors and the disabled. Chairs can be stopped for loading and unloading with restraint bars on every chair. No pets please.
