For over 30 years, this Tahoe family has delighted visitors from around the world with history, fun and nostalgia.

Our Handmade Sleighs and Carriages are pulled by either beautiful 2000 pound Blond Belgium horses or one of our rare American-Russian Baskhir Curlies, all of which have been featured in Pasadena's Tournament of Rose Parade over the past few years.

Each ride is 35 minutes

Sleigh Rides

Experience an old fashioned sleigh ride in one of several antique European carriages. Your Sleigh Ride adventure will take you over the meadow, through the woods to grandmother's house and to a peaceful place overlooking one of Lake Tahoe's most spectacular views.

Be sure to bring your camera because a Borges storyteller will snap a photo of you and your companions on the sleigh with breathtaking Lake Tahoe in the background. During the exciting ride, your sleigh driver will point out local landmarks.

The five handmade sleighs vary in size from the cozy two-seater to a festive twenty passenger sleigh. Each sleigh is equipped with warm blankets for snuggling.

Carriage Rides

On a warm summer day, take a romantic ride in one of our antique European Carriages.See Lake Tahoe and the wonders of nature as you have never seen it before with a Borges Historian as your guide. He will take you past Edgewood Golf Course and through a quite, peaceful neighborhood. As you travel along Lake Tahoe, the carriage driver will share with you bits of Tahoe history
