Convict Lake Resort offers fishing and boating with breath taking views...

The lake is full of beautiful rainbow trout and some brown trout as well.

The lake is stocked for fishing weekly during the season by Fish Springs Hatchery.

Convict Lake is considered a premier trout fishing lake. Because of its crystal-clear water sometimes fishing can be difficult, but you will not find a more beautiful spot to try.

Between 800 and 1000 pounds of rainbow trout, averaging ¾ lb., are deposited in the middle of the south shore by the California Department of Fish & Game (CDFG).

Between 400 to 500 pounds of "catchable" trout are spread out from the bridge down thru the campground in 8 to 12 places

The fishing season starts the last Saturday of April early years and ends on November 15, one hour after sunset.
