Get off the beaten path and enjoy the pristine wilderness by snowcat skiing on Big Mountain. Beginning mid-December, snowcat skiing offers skiers and snowboarders an opportunity to cruise more challenging terrain, from a gentle slope to scattered trees on a steep slope. Venture into pristine snow, view the beautiful peaks of Glacier National Park and the Canadian Rockies, and make tracks with a professional guide. You get four full hours of exploration in areas accessible only by hiking. Snowcat skiing uses a combination of lift riding and snowcat riding to access the terrain. Therefore, a lift ticket is needed in addition to the snowcat ticket. Snowcat rates are based per-person on the number of people skiing. Terrain: Options provide a thousand feet of rolling slope varying in pitch from intermediate to advanced. Technical challenges are part of the experience. Terrain will be chosen with conditions in mind. Terrain Access: Chairlifts are used to access the terrain along with the Snowcat. There will be 4-10 runs a day, depending on groups abilities.
