Powder Conditions and Sunshine Skies...
This is CORE Colorado,
This is Loveland Ski Area.
Loveland Ski Area is Colorado's closest ski area to Denver, located just 53 miles west of town on I-70, exit 216. Loveland Ski Area is just east of the Eisenhower Tunnel and rests high atop the Continental Divide, providing incredible skiing and riding conditions from October to May.
March means SNOW!
And, More of it! Over two feet of snow has fallen since last week, and when it's not snowing the sun is out, providing perfect spring conditions - sunshine and powder! So far this year Loveland has received close to 300 inches of natural snowfall, that's over 30 inches above our year-to-date average. The best part is March is the snowiest month on average, so you have plenty more powder days to look forward to.
Kids (and the Kids-at-heart) dig Loveland Ski Area
At Loveland, children will have fun while the adults are able to get in a couple of runs for themselves. Loveland is one of the most complete family ski areas around. There's a day care facility at the Basin for the littlest ones and Ski School at the Loveland Valley offers gentle slopes and intermediate runs.
Green, Blues, Blacks
Loveland Ski Area has something for everyone, from a separate learning area at the Loveland Valley for beginners where gentle slopes and and unintimidating learning environment greet visitors, to terrain for every preference and ability at the Loveland Basin. Loveland's 1,365 acres of varied terrain offer everything from The Ridge, high atop the Continental Divide, where bowls and ciques provide expert skiers with open, steep and deep terrain, to award winning bump runs, wide open groomers and gentle beginner runs all over the mountain.
Stay Close to the Slopes
Lodging can be found in Georgetown, Dillon, Idaho Springs or Denver. For shopping enthusiasts, a plethora of factory outlet stores can be found off I-70 in Silverthorne, about 20 minutes away.
With Loveland's Central Reservations you can book a ski and stay package that includes two lift tickets and one night lodging for close to what you would spend on a single lift ticket at many Colorado ski areas, so check them out at skiloveland.com or 800-225-LOVE.
