Mother Nature Loves Alpine Meadows
A deep snow pack and incredible powder skiing and snowboarding conditions have made Alpine Meadows one of the country's best choices for this winter's vacation destinations. Alpine Meadows' Stay & Ski vacation packages offer guests more than 70 lodging options, ranging from mountainside chalets and lakefront luxury to family-friendly condominiums and distinctive Tahoe hotels and inns. Lodging and lift ticket packages start at just $75, making the Alpine Meadows Stay & Ski Package a favorite among value-savvy and luxury-seeking travelers alike.
While visiting Alpine Meadows, be sure to check this winter's calendar. A variety of fun events - live music, mountain ski clinics, and contests - are a great way to make a vacation memorable and unique. The famous Alpine Meadows terrain park competition series, Sundays In The Park, invites ski and snowboard jibbers to take part in a fun, free terrain park jam. DJ music, a low-pressure atmosphere, and a chance to try new skills on a unique feature-of-the-week in Alpine's Kangaroo Terrain Park gives visitors a great introduction to the famous "Roo", and keeps locals coming back every Sunday. The next Sunday In The Park is scheduled for Sunday, March 2nd.
Something for the Ladies
For adventurers who love a great mountain tour, the next Alpine Meadows Winter Women's Clinic is set for Tuesday, March 4 through Thursday, March 6. Three full days of skiing with some of the country's best women coaches offer guests personalized improvement goals and a guided adventure through Alpine's seven powder bowls, flawlessly groomed runs, serene forests, and of course, majestic mountain top views of Lake Tahoe. Après-ski dinners and parties give skiers a chance to unwind in some of the Tahoe region's favorite restaurants.
Friday March 7 brings an evening of action sports celebration to the Alpine Meadows base lodge. After a day on the mountain, enjoy après ski live music and Hors D'oeuvres. At 6pm, the Lake Tahoe Film Festival begins, and guests are treated to short films which celebrate all outdoor action sports. The evening's films include skiing, snowboarding, ice climbing, skydiving, base jumping, trials mountain biking, and white water kayaking. Film Festival tickets are just $7; Film Festival-plus-dinner tickets are just $15.
